Installation

TourKit consists of two main components: the Chrome extension for recording tours, and the web dashboard for managing and sharing them.

Chrome Extension

Step 1: Install the Extension

1. Visit the Chrome Web Store (or use our self-hosted version)
2. Click "Add to Chrome"
3. Confirm the installation when prompted

Step 2: Pin the Extension

For easy access, pin the TourKit extension to your toolbar:

1. Click the puzzle piece icon in Chrome's toolbar
2. Find TourKit in the list
3. Click the pin icon

Step 3: Sign In

1. Click the TourKit icon in your toolbar
2. Click "Sign In" to connect with your TourKit account
3. If you don't have an account, sign up for free

System Requirements

• Browser: Google Chrome 90+ or any Chromium-based browser
• Internet: Required for syncing tours and using the dashboard

Troubleshooting

Extension not appearing?

Try these steps:

1. Restart Chrome
2. Check if the extension is enabled in chrome://extensions
3. Try reinstalling the extension

Can't sign in?

• Make sure you have a TourKit account
• Check your internet connection
• Try clearing your browser cache
